Symantec Norton AntiVirus is a widely used anti-virus scanning that loads into a computers memory and help protect it from computer viruses and other malware that could damage data or cause other computer problems. Many OEM companies such as Dell will include trial versions of McAfee or other anti-virus programs to help lower the overall cost of the computer to the consumer.
